Dr. Yvrose Pierre, Principal of the Brooklyn School for Career Development/Aveyron Academy, has over 30 years in NYC education. An award-winning educator and advocate for special needs students, she implements diverse programs and fosters excellence, leading her school to consistently high ratings and student success.

Pauline Dorsaint
Pauline Dorsaint, an Assistant Principal and founding SHSA member, began her NYC Department of Education career as a science teacher and dean of discipline. She has mentored new teachers and served on the SHSA Executive and Advisory Boards, committed to promoting equity and enhancing educational opportunities for all.

Genevieve DesRuisseaux
Genevieve DesRuisseaux, a Special Education teacher with a Master's from St. John’s University, has over a decade of experience. Formerly in fashion at Bergdorf Goodman, she holds an advanced School Building Leader certificate. Active in various community roles, she seeks to serve as SHSA's Treasurer.

Darlyne Aristide
Darlyne Aristide, a mother of three, philanthropist, and educator, has served NYCDOE students with disabilities for over 25 years. Currently, Director of Special Education for District 31, she also manages her daughter Tadia, a music artist. Active in community and leadership roles, she advocates for marginalized communities and women's empowerment.

Natalie Francois-Lafleur
Natalie Francois-Lafleur, with a dual BA in Political Science and Linguistics from SUNY Stony Brook, holds a Master’s in Special Education from Touro College. An experienced educator and administrator, she currently supports NYC schools as an Academic Response Team Specialist, focusing on data-driven improvements and academic achievement.
